COMPANY NEWS UPDATE
Over the last few months the team at The Aerial Perspective have been busy out of the office as well! - Anthony has been back in the saddle riding with the Cozmetek/Sotheby's Vets cycling team.
It proved to be a very successful season indeed, with the team winning the Vets category in the 2009 Etelecare Pro Classic League, and Anthony rounding off with an individual top-10 finish in the Vets Category in the Western Province Road Cycling Championships. |
Kerry is currently writing exams and is due to graduate with her degree in Business Administration later this year. We're holding thumbs!
Keith finally popped the big question, using a cigar label as a ring for a very impromptu proposal. He and Marietha are due to tie the knot in July - Yikes - just around the corner! Keith is also happy to be back in the left-hand seat, having regained his license after a four-year lapse. He's wasted no time cutting his teeth on several aerial shoots. |

2010 STADIUM UPDATE
With the 2010 World Cup just around the corner, work is on track to get everything ready for the big event.
We've been keeping an eye on developments at all stadiums around the country and all are progressing fabulously: PE is practically complete, Durban also almost there and Cape Town and Johannesburg finishing off final structural touches.

ABSA CAPE EPIC 2009
In April, the Prologue of this world-famous 8-day Mountain Bike Stage Race was held in Cape Town for the first time, as part of the race's new format. The new layout was much more spectator-friendly than in previous years, and with the iconic backdrop of Table Mountain, the Prologue was a true spectacle.
Due to the close proximity flying required to cover the event, Anthony flew with Gary Fox in a Robinson R-44 of Enspire Aviation and, coupled with Gary's superb flying, he captured the essence of the first day perfectly.
Recent fires had turned the normally beautiful slopes to charcoal, but the resolve of the riders to crack fast times over the 19km time trial shone through.
Kerry and Keith took care of coverage on the ground, and had to dodge the occasional rider doing the drop-off onto the fields at the finish. |

CAPE TOWN ROAD UPGRADES - FULL STEAM AHEAD!
Work is progressing rapidly on several major road upgrade projects in Cape Town, including the Koeberg interchange on the N1 (pictured right) and Hospital Bend (below).
Keith has also been instrumental in working with software to apply cadastral boundary overlays to topographic images.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The Aerial Perspective is proud to contribute to Cape Town's community. Amongst other initiatives, we are actively involved with the NSRI at Bakoven. In addition, we sponsor aerial imagery to assist the Hout Bay Neighbourhood Watch, the Camps Bay Community Policing Forum and the Cape Town City Improvement District in their efforts to combat crime.
We also had a fun day out of the office on the Atlantis sand dunes when we helped out at the JEEP Reach for a Dream Day, teaching the kids to drive 4x4 and taking them for rides.
The kids here (right) try to douse a grass-fire in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay.
